Self-preservation Effect of Gas Hydrates

نویسندگان

چکیده

This work was performed to improve the storage and transportation technology of gas hydrates in nonequilibrium conditions. At atmospheric pressure positive ambient temperature, they gradually dissociate into water. Simulation hydrate dissociation will determine optimal conditions for their storage, as well minimize loss. Thermodynamic parameters adiabatic processes forced preservation pre-cooled blocks with ice layer were determined theoretically experimentally. Physical mathematical models these proposed. The scientific novelty is establishing quantitative characteristics that describe thermophysical influence on heat transfer intensity interphase surface under dissociation. Based results experimental studies, approximation dependences determining temperature depths a dissociating array have been obtained. Gas model presented.

Nucleation of gas hydrates

The kinetics of nucleation of one-component gas hydrates in aqueous solutions are analyzed. The size of the hydrate nucleus and the work for nucleus formation are determined as functions of the supersaturation Dm: Expressions for the stationary rate J of hydrate nucleation are derived. These expressions describe the JðDmÞ dependence for homogeneous nucleation and for heterogeneous nucleation at...

Natural Gas Hydrates

Sir Humphry Davy witnessed the first chlorine hydrate crystallizing in 1811. Couple of century later his discovery, natural gas hydrates has begun to play an important role in energy business. From being a mere chemical curiosity, they have proven to be a nuisance for the natural gas industry. The problem of hydrate induced blockage in “wet gas” flow systems has been widely reported and became ...

High-pressure gas hydrates.

It has long been known that crystalline hydrates are formed by many simple gases that do not interact strongly with water, and in most cases the gas molecules or atoms occupy 'cages' formed by a framework of water molecules. The majority of these gas hydrates adopt one of two cubic cage structures and are called clathrate hydrates. Notable exceptions are hydrogen and helium which form 'exotic' ...
